Pleae tell us about your experience with PTSD  and comments and how you are dealing with it in your everyday life.  Close to fifteen million children are effected by PTSD and most of these children will not be treated for this disorder.  My son sufferers from this disorder and it gets scary at times if you read his poems and his song you will understand.  I have been educating myself on this and would love to hear from you.  Thank you again and have a great day.

After reading all of your information, I'm convinced that my children are suffering from PTSD.  Not only do they exbit typical PTSD behavior, but after reading your website, I now am no longer in denial and ready to address the situation that my family and I are faced with.

I will be checking back to see what others have to say.

Thanks for your response.  I appreciate hearing from you.  There will be info on PTSD and also other helpful links for you to find out more info for your children it should be posted within a day or two so please check it out.  I hope you and your family find it useful and get the proper help you need  for your children.    I was in denial and believing what other people would say me....about my son.  I was told he was an uncontrollable child and defiant professionals wanted me to take other routes with him but I never gave up hope, and I read all the time to educate myself about my children's condition.  We still have alot to handle and are still in therapy.  Goodluck, and please keep me informed.

I have received more emails about children suffering from PTSD.  Children get hurt from emotional  manipulation and mind games,  physical or sexual abuse.  The trauma definately has a major impact on their behavior.   I have heard some traumatic stories and I can relate to the pain.  I know it can be physically and mentally draining and you just want it to stop!   I am not a psychologist  but  I have experienced this within my own family.  I too was exhausted from all the BS .   I have been living this roller coaster of emotions from major mood swings first with my X and now with my son, which has been on going for some years.  Just when I think it gets better it seems to worsen we experience another trigger.    On the web site I have included many beneficial web sites that are loaded with info, I hope that it may be useful.   Let me know!  Thanks again anonymously......I will not say your name!

Thanks for sharing news about PTSD.  Considering the traumatic environments some children are growing up in, I wonder how many people are wandering around misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all.  The information is great, keep it coming.  Good luck for you own quest for psychological answers for you child.

 Good Morning:

             What is the process in getting diagnosis with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Acute Stress Disorder.  This is need more support than ever.  The Victims are no longer going to be Victims but will have the victory. We need tools and local resources to get better.  It leaves some of use with miscellaneous diseases that SSI does not recognize as a illness. It needs counseling, financial support for the the people and sometimes Medication Management.  The Department of Children and Families , only will help those with Children, financially, and a lot of women go homeless, loss their homes and cars and most important their, self esteem.  Where is  the medical help for us , none except if you are disabled completely or have a child. SSI is not taking care of the people trying, and have to deal with medical bills or lack of medical help, then it spirals to credit cards, exhausted, no money for gas, living, now where do we go ?.  PSTD, can cause problems with working situations, and health issues.   Where do the single male or Female , go for help... that have gone through all this stuff, and cannot deal with life? Life has left us very sensative, and hurt, loss of self esteem, to bad choices, we are all trying to get help.  I had been referred to many places to call for medical help for my condition that has been from pstd, and other illness, RedCross,  Mustard Seed,  211. various churches, SLC has no resources. No Section8 until who knows. PTSD, needs more psychiatric evaluations with a medical Doctor or a Pyschologist.  Unless you have insurance, you are put against the wall. Unless you have a child.   Where is the help for us who have be turned away from good jobs, because of this illness and  just do not feel we fit in.   Just another cry for help.  I am lucky to have a room, but if I loss my car , because lack of financial resources.  I am in the process of vocational rehab, they will not help me unless I get a note from my doctor that it is okay , I am stuck again and that is no guarantee.

  HOW DOES SOMEONE GO ON WITH ALL THIS ROAD BLOCKS,,,, BUT AT LEAST THERE ARE FOOD RESOURCES AND SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO REALLY PUSH TO GET WHAT YOU REALLY NEED AND DESIRE. ALL BECAUSE A PERSON IN YOUR LIFE HAVE PUT YOU THROUGH SUCH TORTURE AND EMOTIONAL ROLLAR COASTER AND HAVE SLOWLY HURT YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY,, IT'S TIME TO GIVE THE  PAIN TO GOD

     Yes, I've had post traumatic stress disorder for years now. It is important to have a safe friend who will allow you to vent it out, when things come up: instead of shutting you up. This is very important of to us so call victoms to become victorious in our lives.

     There are resources out their, New Horizen, Chatholic Chartities and also you may call 211 for guidence for help to find a place in your area. Goup counseling is also helpful. I also found a inner healing class, that helps women with the 12 steps, but it is through the 12 steps of a christian, and deals with readings and sharing in a women's group.

It has been a long battle and coming closer to God and develping strong faith has helped me tremedously. I am facing more victimized things now, but learning to deal with them without fleeting or falling appart mentally.
