Childs Cry for Help Inc.  wants to congratualte Representative Gayle Harrell on her recent victory............and for her support in our legislative bill to have Florida Statute 827.03 CHILD ABUSE ................recognize "emotional abuse/mental injury"

During our task force meetings which started  October 13, October 30, and Novemeber 13, 2006 ........we have come up with a legislative bill which will be filed on Novemeber 21, 2006.  At this time this bill will go to Tallahassee to the legislative board who carefully look over the bill and view other statutes that may effect the bill.  This process can take upto two weeks..........at that time, Childs Cry for Help Inc, Rep. Gayle Harrell, Attorney Juan Torres, Attorney Jason Berger from the State Attorney's office, and the Task Force will go over the changes and select the best choice to be filed on January 1, 2006 in Tallahasse, Florida.

Childs Cry for Help wants to thank everyone who have been directly involved with dedicating their time, opinions, and  help with this process.  We are still not finished and will need volunteers to assist in Tallahassee ..................................

CHILDS CRY FOR HELP INC will be announcing more information concerning the drafting of the proposed Bill for the Florida CHILD ABUSE statute .  We held meetings in October and November with several different organizations to receive their input on Emotional Abuse/Mental Injury on a child.  We want to thank all who were able to attend. 

We are currently waiting for the final drafting of the Bill.  Childs Cry for Help Inc. will be announcing the SENATE sponsor for the Bill.   

Childs Cry for Help's  wants to thank Representative Gayle Harrell for sponsoring the Bill in the House of Representatives.

CHILD ABUSERS GETTING SOLE CUSTODY is a serious issue here in the United States many stories surface about judges awarding sole custody to the perpetrator.  People don't realize that this is happening everywhere not just here in Florida.  Why is this happening?  Why do judges put these children in danger?  Why does the system vicitmize these children over and over again? 

NANCY GRACE will interview Tracy, a mom who lost custody of her nine year old daughter........ a circuit judge from Virginia heard the appeal and testimony from the court appointed psychiatrist who completed a forensic evaluation on the child & testified that the child was physically, sexually and verbally abused.  Judged ruled on January 17th after a thirty minute recess ......sole custody was awarded to the father.

NANCY GRACE will interview Tina, mom from Virginia, who lost custody of her child next week......January 29, 2007.................We will announce the day when Tina lets Childs Cry for Help know.
